This review is from: Founding of the Republic - Bluray [Blu-ray] (Blu-ray)
As one would expect this Communist Party of China inspired film tells the tale from their perspective. None of Mao's murderous crimes are mentioned and the new republic is painted in glorious Hollywood colours. It is nevertheless an interesting portrayal of those times and well worth a look, just do not take it as a true account. You will not get anything better out of China whilst the Communist Party remains in power. China suffered terribly under Chiang Kai Shek and Mao and both will join Stalin and Hitler as self serving maniacs who cared nothing about the millions they killed. The picture and sound are good and much better than the DVD.
