OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - A military plane crashed in Okaloosa County Friday morning. Officials say it was unrelated to the tribute flyover in Bay County.
Eglin Air Force Base officials say the crash happened during a routine training exercise. (WJHG/WECP) According to an Eglin Air Force Base spokesperson, the crash happened around 9:15 a .m. about 12 miles northeast of the base at a testing range. The spokesperson said the plane was an F-22 assigned to the 43rd Fighter Squadron with the 325th Fighter Wing.
