楼主很奇怪地选择性加红，比如这一段，作者原意是鼓励先喝再付钱的，光看楼主加红那部份意思就反了。
From a sales perspective, I think it is good policy to be lenient on the practice. It shows trust in the customer and a desire to make sure they are satisfied. It is a good guarantee of return business I think. Many stores offer sample cups of fresh items they have on sale (like deli items) and even let the customer control the sampling process so that they buy what they like (such as at the olive or cheese bar).

There will always be a small minority of individuals who will abuse the policy. But simple awareness and monitoring can discourage this.

A starving customer who has a little in the belly is much easier to deal with at the checkout line than one who's cranky from stomach grumblings!

这一段的作者当然是赞赏，鼓励的意思了。第一句话就说明了---- From a sales perspective, I think it is good policy to be lenient on the practice.

这一句我主要针对的是一些人喜欢用欧美举例子。
事实是，很少欧美人，尤其是体面的欧美人会认同这点。

to be lenient就代表了这种做法本身是需要“酌情宽松考虑”，大前提就是这种做法是错误的，否则哪来的Lenient

如果赞赏就不会用abuse了。
不过是说商家权衡利弊，可以允许。
事实上多数商场也是这么做的。

你又没有看懂这一段啊？
原作者认为(先喝再付)这是一个好的政策，大家应该更宽松对这种行为，因为这样更能建立起商家和顾客的信任，使顾客满意。。。。。。但总是有少部份人滥用了这种权力，但稍微注意一下就容易制止这些人了。
最后他还专门说明 A starving customer who has a little in the belly is much easier to deal with at the checkout line than one who's cranky from stomach grumblings!
肚子里稍微有点食物的顾客，会比饿得饥肠碌碌的顾客排队交钱时容易对付得多。(言下之意，当然是鼓励先吃再交钱了)。

而你只把"有少部份人滥用了这种权力"这句加红，那不是误导是什么？

虽然我不是很喜欢抬扛，老了以后也不大喜欢讽刺人了，不过不得不问一句，阁下什么时候开始代表大部份欧美人，尤其是体面的欧美人了？

我们在便士店也是拿了就开喝，到柜台也付款也就2秒。去超市买就不能先喝在付款？这是哪里来的偏见，大超市就了不起？

说那么多，还是改变不了国外好多旅游景点都特地用中文提示不要随地吐痰之类的现实
鬼佬就是看不起中国人，就像我们很多城市人看不起农村人一样。
承认这一点很难吗？
