sphere是形象的圈，range是列表？

sphere意思是球体吧，那就是3d的范围、领域；range更多表示线性的，比如22-50岁，range经常表达的意思还有距离，比如导弹射程。close range，近距离。

个人理解，仅做参考：range是一个点到点的距离，以及以这个距离为圆心划的范围，是个二维的概念；sphere更立体，是个三维的概念…

sphere的词源来自于拉丁文sphara 球体的意思。

他们有区别，有时候也可以通用。英语中也有很多词在做某个意思时候是一样的。就像中文中的一些词一样。比如“有什么不同”和“有什么区别”，对于我们母语是中文的人来说也是不加区分的。
