网球是在十四世纪起源于法国路易斯王朝时代，在宫廷中举行的"jeude paume"（意为"用手掌击球的游戏")。后来在十九世纪引进英国，改良在草皮上举行。 因为最原始的网球运动是起源于宫廷之中，所以计分方法就地取材是可以理解的。他们拿可以拨动的时钟来计分，每得一次分就将时钟转动四分之一，也就是15分(aquarter，一刻），同理，得两次分就将时钟拨至30分，当然一切都是以他们的方便为基础。这就是15分、30分的由来。 至于40分，它比较怪异，它不是15的倍数。这是因为在英文中，15分念作"fifteen"，为双音节，而30分念作"thirty"，也是双音节；但是45分，英文念作"forty-five"，变成了三个音节，当时着英国人觉得有点拗口，也不符合"方便"的原则，于是就把它改成同为双音节的40分(forty)。这就是看来不合逻辑的40分的由来。

補充一個，0分為什麼是love。

因為網球起源法國，古法語中l'oeuf是蛋的意思，所以用l'oeuf代替零分，英國佬聽到就用love了。

光这么看，明显8楼比较合理， 11楼这个理由很牵强，45改40是因为要摆指针到50？这是什么道理，放45然后移动到50就不可以了？

喷了。。。wiki上白纸黑字写着的你说牵强。。。反而听8楼的。。。

45改为40是为了 不超过60而又有两个10分的领先。所以40+10+10就是60。

先好好看懂英文，再说哪个牵强吧。

我觉得吧，8楼的听起来明显更合理。为啥45分之后就不50\60或者55\60呢？之前都是15分钟算一次得分，为啥获胜2球之后平分就得是10\10\10一球呢？没有平分就是10分\20分一球呢？11楼的计分方法看起来更随意。
那个是正确的我不关心，反正是之前的人随便定的。但不能说11楼听起来更合理。再说wiki本来就不是100%正确。

喷了。。我特地去tennis score条目查了一下发现你引那段后面直接标着citation needed。拿这种连出处都没有的wiki资料当证据是来钓鱼的吧。。。

The answer to this is a little convoluted and the answer is just what is "believed" to have been the reason behind the scoring numbers, but since tennis is a game that dates back to the 19th century, it's tough to know for sure.

Anyway, here goes...

Think of a clock face that is divided up into quadrants - which would give you the 15, 30, 45, and 60 intervals. The problem with using that to score tennis games though, is that to win a game, you have to win by 2 points if the score reaches deuce (40-40 or "40 all"). So it is believed that the first 3 points would advance the hand to 15, 30 and 40 - and then the next 2 points would advance the hand by 10 minutes - first to 50, then to 60 - still keeping the game finished at the 60 mark. If the (serving) player failed to win 2 points in a row after deuce, the hand would move back to 40 and the score would be at deuce again.

I've also heard the story that the very first tennis players (we shall call them Adam and Eve) used a clock's minute hand to keep score (15, 30, 45). However, the clock was slightly broken and the hands were a bit loose. So when Eve went to set the score to 45, the hand slipped and fell back down to 40! And that has been the way they score tennis ever since.

传说也要有个传说的出处。同一个条目里面 比如说像0用love来表示的起源这个也是传说，但人家至少给出了出处给出了是从哪里得到这信息的 甭管对不对，至少可以让人有地方去确认这些信息。像wiki这种谁都能编辑的地方如果不给出reference的话谁知道你是不是现编的段子。。。特别是像这种被打上citation needed标签的段落，可靠性基本是跟百度百科看齐的。没有引用只凭你脑补的更多人接受更符合逻辑来保证证据的可靠？别闹了好吗。

8楼引用的出处在哪里？
或者你觉得什么传说是可靠的有出处的？

现在的问题是太过久远，无从确切考证。
所以各自找一个更符合逻辑的来相信就是了。

说实话,不管是8楼还是11楼,我虽然扫了一眼,但完全没搞清楚意思,至少不是简单明了的,真心不如123直接了当.

123的话，至少得打到11球观众才满意，参考脱胎于网球的乒乓球。
